Yesterday, 2 girls from our sister school, St Hilda's Anglican School, arrived at Narita Airport and met their host family in Japan. This was the beginning of the one-month program for us to host two Australian students.
Last summer, Wayo students were hosted by them in Perth, Western Australia, and this time, it's our turn to host them.
Students from Australia are expected to learn more about Japanese culture with the help of Wayo students and teachers, and at the same time, it will be a great opportunity for our students to learn more about their culture and what is hospitality by taking care of them.
昨日、交流校セントヒルダアングリカンスクールからお2人の留学生が成田に到着し、本校のホストファミリーに出迎えられました。本日が、一か月滞在プログラムの初日となります。
オーストラリアのパースにあるセントヒルダアングリカンスクール。昨夏、和洋の生徒たちもホームステイをさせていただきました。今回は私たちがおもてなしをする番です。
セントヒルダアングリカンスクールと本校との交流は20年以上になります。留学生の2人は日本語を学び、日本文化に高い関心をもっています。生徒との交流を通じて多くのことを学んでほしいと思います。
私たちにとっても、オーストラリアのことを知ると同時に、「おもてなし」とは何かについて考えるよい機会になることでしょう。
